amp
to high which is 2v to 8v. The low is I believe 800mv to 2v. Anyway I get very low sound when the switch is set to high. When I switch it to low the volume is 100 times louder. Why is this? Did I hook something up wrong or is there something wrong with the HU or the amp? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
You didn't hook anything up wrong. There's nothing wrong with the HU or amp.
The reason this happens is because when you have that switch set to low, the
amp
is looking for that voltage range. When switched to high, it's looking for higher voltage from you RCA's. Each position is made to work with different voltages coming across your RCA's. My JL 300/4 does the same thing.
