Most american cars are junk because most people want the cheapest pos that will get them between work and home without randomly blowing up.

SOME american cars are fine pieces of machinery, able to rival anything in the world, but they are also expensive, and not many people can afford/justify the purchase.

Conversely, there are a lot of shitty imports... civics are NOT the be all and end all... they are a crappy little import car, roughly equivalent to a cobalt, but slightly better quality.

Broad sweeping statements make you look uneducated and foolish, even if there is a kernel of truth in them.
