I beg to differ nearly every single new technology comes from here. We are easily the leader for innovation and we constantly reshape the whole world healthcare systenm with our technology.

It's not just a shortage thing it's a beurocracy thing. When you load all your doctors up with tons of paper work required by the government it becomes harder and harder to be efficient. This is why I find it funny they think we can have a complete government take over of the system and somehow have more efficiency when I can guarantee there will be more useless beurocracy after its taken over. This beurocracy also leads to more and bigger frivolous law suits since there are more and more rules the doctors need to meet.

College costs go up every year because they are partially tied to banks through loans and are one of the first recipients of inflation just like housing. The proof is simple just look at the cost of college education 30 years ago along with the price of something like gold or aluminum and then look at the ratio today. It hasn't moved up or down much at all. Once you understand inflation you begin to see a whole sleuth of problems generated by government.

Why is everyone so bent on going backwards? I mean we see social security failing and we now beg for more of the same? Does nobody think long term at all anymore?
