I have been thinking of buying some because of price, but really don't want to spend money without knowing. I might try them and if I don't like them, sell them and get something else. I am starting to get in the spirit here.

BTW - thanks again for the amp. It is great. It may be looking for a new home sometime to be replaced with an Arc XXK4150 if I can afford it.

I have heard a set and it is comparable to any high end comp set. For 299 it is worth it unless you want to go active.

def for 299 they are a great setup.... just imo depends on the tweeters. what type of sound you like out of them.. the quarts if not aimed right and tuned right can and will be pretty harsh. if setup right they are still one of my fav's. just sucks most people dont use them right and they sound like they will rip your ears off.. ive even at times had trouble "taming" them. but once you do boy they are def a lively beast

I don't think pure titanium coating on the woofer will make a difference. The tweeter is the same.
