FINALLY!!!
I was supposed to start 3 weeks ago!
For anyone that doesn't know I was offered a job working for a company called Rotora I'll be working in sales. I hope everything turns out great, I think this is the Job I've always wanted. www.rotora.com
A little background on myself. After High School I decided to get a job as a general service technician. My first job was this tire shop called A&R Tire Service in Rancho Cucamonga. I worked as a tire tech/tire delivery. I had to drive around a big F350 V10 Flatbed, it was pretty fun. When I wasn't driving the big V10 monster I was changing out recalled Ford Exploder I mean Explorer tires. This shop made a killing off that. And I had it down to a science. All 5 tires needed to be changed out. Anyways there was a service writer who was a total Assshole redneck, and I couldn't take his Sh!t, so I quit.
Went to work for Big O tires for a little while, quit that then went to work for Express Tire/Goodyear, which is a really good company.
I went from being a general service tech to being a Service Advisor aka Service Writer. Did that for about a year and enjoyed it, but just got tired of the bad work environment(very unhealthy and can cause cancer if you work at a shop for a long time)
I decided I wanted to sell cars. I applied at Gosch Toyota in Hemet, but their insurance requires you to be 21 years old(so I was told) I was 18 years old at the time.
Second place I applied was Norm Reeves Honda Acura in Temecula. They hired me on the spot and started training me while I payed off a speeding ticket so I could get my sales lisence. I had to sell my Motorcycle to pay for it LOL, I got the ticket on the Bike.
After working there for 3 months I decided I want to sell the vehicles that I love and know-Toyota's
I applied for a position in sales at Moreno Valley Toyota and was hired within 2 minutes of walking into the place. My manager was a really cool guy named Mehdy Azad. He was an Afganistan Freedom fighter when he was 14(Rocketist)
Working at moreno Valley Toyota has taught me ALOT about toyota's and it was a very rewarding job. The money was great(averaged about 60k a year, not bad for a 19 year old)
Every customer I had loved me. They were all shocked at the care and customer service I provided and I was told repeadetly that they have never had a car buying experiece like the one they had just had. I have made friends with alot of customers, and have had several repeat business from many of them. At one point I was selling cars solely on appointments from return customers and referrals from my previous customers. I rarely had to go outside to get fresh"up's"
After about 3 years working there I bought my second Toyota from there. My Tacoma XRunner. A couple of days after I bought it, I came to the conclusion that the brakes SUCK. Idecided to get ahold of some companies that make big brake kit's. I first tried calling Brembo, but couldn't get ahold of anyone. I then called Stop-Tech, and talked to one of the customer service rep's about brakes. He told me that they were the one's that are making the big brake kit for TRD and that they've already done the testing and everything.
OK so at this point I fiugured, well I don't want to pay for the kit lol, so I called Rotora. I talked to a guy named Loren, and he said they would be interested in using my truck to design a big brake kit. In return for letting them use my truck I would get an awesome deal on the brakes.
I let them use the truck, and after a few months of waiting and talking back and forth Loren mentioned that they were looking for a good salesman. I told him my background in Service, and he already knew I sold Toyota's so it turned out that I was the right guy for the job.
I was supposed to start on the 11th of last month, but things got pushed forward to the beginning of June. Which is cool, I just took an extended vacation.
So hopefully everything works out with this new job. I think I should enjoy it alot. I'll finally get weekends off and a more forgiving work schedule for time off. I'll also have the oppurtunity to travel around the world and the country attending drift events and meeting important people of different companies.
So wish me luck Sorry for the long post. Kind of half my life story(pretty boring yes I know)
