Don't mean to pollute your thread, but what size and type of enclosure is recommended for these subs?
I'm a little bit interested as long as its a good fit: Something good quality, can get a little loud, in a smaller enclosure. Going in a trunk. |

this is from another thread: "Here's a post from an old forum: Auto Sound & Security tested the Aura Force 12 in Nov 97. Aura themselves recommended a sealed box of 0.85-1.7 cu ft or a vented box of 2 cu ft (vented 3" tube and 10" long). "Revc" was 3.3 ohms. As tested, the smallest sealed box sounded nice and fast, but had weak bass. The largest sealed box kept these qualities, but developed excellent bass extension and power (it was the favorite configuration in the test). They found a 390 watt mono amp to be a good match for the subwoofer. A crossover at 60-80 Hz with a slope of 18 or 24 dB per octave was needed to keep down its midrange. The vented box was only OK sounding. A fourth order bandpass box with a 21 liter sealed side and 30 liter vented side, and a 4" tube 3.5" long) did a pretty good job." |
