All I am getting at is verify you have signal going to the amp prior to blaming the amp. Ge0 |

OK guys. Switched amps today, and still nothing. It stopped right before the switch from the 880 to the 205+701. I have no idea what it could be. What Ge0 suggested might be the case, but i don't know for certain, and I do know they stopped before the 701 was in there

If you don't have a good high current ground then the amp COULD ground through the RCA jack ground depending on the design of the amp. You don't want that to happen since you could fry the output of the source and the input to the amp.
Make sure you have good power, ground, and remote on the H701 and amp. Do you have a portable MP3 player you could patch into the amp using a mini stereo jack to RCA converter cable (this cable is available at Radio Shack or Best Buy)? See if you can get the amp to play using this setup. If it don't, something may be wrong with the amp. If it does, I suspect you missed a setting on the H701. I remember at least 3 unique (meaning unrelated and in different spots) menu locations on the H700 that could de-activate output to any given channel(s). I'm telling you, it can be tricky. Ge0 |

Did you say 880, like Pioneer 880 PRS, there are whatever came up in a search on DIY for "880" threads here.
One was FAQ's http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/...earchid=345678 If the signal is not coming out that you can detect with your DMM , this would lead me to suspect something has occurred that is telling or preventing the signal from continuing past this point in the chain. |

What kind of Fuse Holder do you have?
I Just finished working on my Wifes car. The front Stage & Subs would cut off & not come back on for weeks but the amp lights would be on..After I had the chance to get my DMM home I found that I had low voltage at the amp on the power wire.. Checked it at the batt it was 13.71v Checked at the front of the Fuse Holder It was 13.71v Checked at the Out of the fuse Holder... 8.64v Pushed the Midi Fuse Down As If it was not fully seated on the Holder.. 13.71v let off back down to 8.64v I swapped the knukonceptz Midi Holder for a Stinger I Had in my truck Bang everything worked perfect.. Use The DMM it works wonders.. |
