The DRZ9255 is actively crossing over the frequencies sent to the 4 channels of the MB Quart QAA4250.

The front two channels are powering the Seas Lotus Reference Aluminum Tweeters. The rears are powering Peerless Exclusive 7" Midwoofers.

It is incredible. I'm just speechless to say the least. There is so much power and clarity it is insane. The gains and built in crossovers on the amp are all bypassed. The DRZ handles all gain control, bandpass crossovers, Parametric EQ and Time alignment. I am very impressed with this setup. The left imaging is out past the drivers side mirror. The staging is at or 4 inches above dash level. Stage depth isn't that great. After mounting the tweeters in A Pillar pods it should bring the depth out onto the hood.

I need to get a dashmat and start deadening/soundproofing the rest of the truck.

The sad part is I already pulled out the MB Quart amp.

The good news is, I'm trading it for a Phoenix Gold ZX950 6 channel :D

Specs on the PG amp here.

It's basically a ZX450 and a ZX500 in one chassis. I've read that there are less than 20 of these ever made made in black.

How different was it when you had the other seas tweets in there?

Nice system. Congrats! :)

Thanks!

They sounded similar but the Lotus' did not get harsh at the very high volume levels as fast as the 27TAFC/G.

Those 27T's were awesome though for the price and if you can fit them. Hard to tell much of a difference from the Lotus. The Lotus does have slightly better clarity and detail though.

What do you think of the Exclusive 7s?

Right now the Tweeters HPF is set to 2.5 khz with a 18 db slope.

The HPF for the mids is at 63hz with a 12 db slope and the LPF is at 2.0hz. I don't remember the slope right now.

No time alignment yet and no EQ. Sounds great without it so far.

The Peerless are just great. I want to hear more mids to be able to compare, but so far I like these better than Phaze mids, DLS Iridium, Alpine Type-X and the CX62 ID mids.

man that deck is sooooo sweet, and I like the scoshe dash kit, its far better than the titan version

very nice install, nice and simple!!!! hows the midbass on those 7"--never heard those only had the 8's which were beasts!!

whoa ??? you like them more than the iridium mid huh? interesting

im like the only guy to have the dls ir8's who actually liked the midbass lol, everyone else I talk to says they were just okay and slow (well they were a little slow) but the output in my doors was CRAZY)

how come you gave up on the 10" midbass with those large holes?

The midbass is excellent. Absolutely kills everything I've heard. I tried them crossed over at 25 hz and put in a bass mechanic CD. It handles most of the songs very well. Ididn't go too loud though cus that is asking for trouble. But they did sound very impressive.

I didn't give up entirely on the 10" midbass. I will try them out when I get the sub enclosure and amprack done.

Very nice install. Is that the ensolite foam I keep hearing about?

Wow, i wish my doors had that kinda space...sheesh. Who needs a sub when you can run a 3-way setup with 10's for the low end ?!! :o

Cool ! I'm reading this thread now for the first time and i like what i see. I have the same DRZ-9255 and i'm replacing the Iridium 6 woofer with Peerless Exclusive 8". Should notice a big improvement knowing that i will also move the speaker from the current position towards the front of the doors !
