Nice install man, if I may ask, why the caps? Did they do anything for the system?

Why the caps you asked...Only reason is because they helped in my old system inside of my 96' Accord. Do they do anything now, I have no idea. I got them cheap and would look great with a clean install like many people have.
My system does not have the current draw my old one did, so I do not think the caps do anything for me.

Caps don't hurt when used properly. Extra protection on your voltage lines is a good thing. Smoothing out voltage is a good thing. Using 'em as a battery (which is what most people do) is a bad thing.
Other than that, very nice. How does it sound? Give some reviews.

Nice equipment... Love the amps & those Crystals I bet are nice. I know the originals where awesome. Are those x2's?
I like the tweeter protection bars... a nice tutorial on how you made them would be nice for the DIY section... PM NPDANG how you did it & he will likely post it.
You could do just fine with a single cap if ever you get to dress it up & could use the extra bit of space.

looks like the regular CMP's,the X2's have the raised dustcap lettering
Are the tweeter protection bars simple drawer handles? Good idea.

Hey guys, those are actually Crystal COMP 12" subwoofers. They are the new version of the CMP and they came out a couple of years ago, FYI if you cared. These subwoofers work wonderfully, I can not come up with one complaint about them.
Those bars were taken from the cabinet aisle at Home Depot. I would post a tutorial about how we mounted those handles and how we made the kicks but due to the lack of pictures and the amateur job we did, I refuse too! Sorry!! : Þ
We had our problems with incorrectly mixing the resin and hardener, I recommend not fiberglassing in the cold. My kicks kept oozing, it was weird. The best thing we did do once we were able to get the kicks to harden was put on the vinyl. It was super easy and hides 95% of the flaws left behind.
The handles were a pain to mount, we tried wedging the handles into the fiberglass and we tried glueing them, neither worked at all. We ended up cutting large holes in the back of the kicks and we screwed the handles from the back. We read around and it seemed a lot of people were leaving holes in their kickpanels for their own particular reasons, we expiremented and it the mids seemed to play fine free-air so we tried it.
I am tried to do my part to keep this site organized so I will post my thoughts about my system in the reviews section. Thanks guys!!

Wow, you actually used vinyl to hide imperfections, all the vinyl did for my friend's door panels was show inmperfections. He ended up sending the pieces to get resanded and painted after vinyl didn't work for him.
Great Job BTW
