Hi all! I want to put the Pioneer TS-C720PRS' in a box enclosure mounted to the sidewall of my van behingd the driver and passenger seats. 2 boxes, one on each wall.

The box can only be 6-7/8" wide because it has to fit between the back of the seat and the cargo divider wall. The speaker is around 5" deep. I don't want the box sticking too far out from the wall.

The tweeter will also be mounted to the box. A Qtc of .707 I guess is what I'd like to shoot for.

The specs are:

Fs: 66 Hz
zmax: 35.8 Ohm
Qms: 9.12
Qes: 0.76
Qts: 0.71
Vas: .32 ft3
Displacement: 0.021 ft3

Would appreciate box sizing and dimensions.

Thanks for your help!

A box can raise "Q" , but not lower it ;)

your Qtc will be greater than your Qts,[ .71 ], hows a peak in your response sound to you, along with having the stage behind you.

At this point I would go for loud music filling the van !;)

how tall can you make the box?

I guess it can be 2-3 ft tall, if need be. What kind of enclosure size is needed?

It is not a sub, it is a 6-1/2" componenet set, the Pioneer TS-C720PRS. The woofer and tweeter.

Actaully, the mid is 3" deep. I was adding some more depth so the box would be deeo enough. I just would prefere not to have the box jutting out too far from the wall. thanks.

I came up with a 2.9 ft3 sealed box.

Are you sure you want 2 of those in your van? these are big ass boxes!!!

I was thinking more along the lines of .5 ft3 per box.
