Welcome everyone! I started this site to provide a centralized location for diy car audio discussion, and hopefully in the future an online store that actually caters to the diy mobile enthusiast with custom high performance drivers, crossover design, and t/s parameter+box design services.

I'm also taking requests for different kinds of equipment reviews and tech articles. If you have something you'd like to see done, post it here.

Otherwise, have fun :)

a 12volt conversion tech article would be great

Hi,

it would very much help newbies if you could make a DIY for the ff:

a) Level-Matching (setting amplifier gains)
b) Steps in properly angling your kickpanels (tweets/mids)
c) Phase tuning

Also,

in your review section, it might be better if you can include a score like the scanspeaks gets 85/100, the Eton gets 79/100, etc.

I should have a tuning tutorial up by this weekend. I also like the idea of giving points to speakers, and I will definitely try to do that for the next review.

Good suggestions keepem coming!

ECA seemed to have a product review section that looked nice.
If somethign similar could be setup, that would be cool...
here is my dream...

A product section with...
1) a few images, and manufacture description...etc.
2) uploaded manuals from whoever, since finding these can be a pain sometimes...User submitted, whatever
3) Any known advanced specs...bench tests, frequency measurements of any kind, etc.
4) Review section from users...each can post feedback on product...encourage small setup description of product in use too

That would be cool for sure.
start the ultimate DIY car audio database...I guess each product could be added by users, as time goes on it would be come nice.

Ok, that's my idea.
Bye!

Never hurts to also have a list of good books to read and also links to helpful websites to learn stuff.

I think an article about why this place is the best online car audio forum might be in order sometime in near future:)....

I would LOVE to get your opinion on the RE XXX 6.5 or the Adire Extremis 6.8

hi, i love the idea of crossover design (since i dont know how) and as many reviews as possible. also, and this might catch hell, but the idea of fullrange drivers in car audio like fostex, lowther, etc. peace

I'd love to review the XXX or the Extremis, but I just don't own any nor do I know anyone that does :) Also, the steep mounting depth on those units keeps me from buying a pair myself for testing.

As for fullrange units, I'm not quite sure about those yet but we'll see :)
