Hello everyone,

Around 5 years ago, I spent a lot of time on a good car audio setup, since then I have changed cars, location, everything, and its time to see what has changed since.

I had gutted my last car, and deadened the entire thing with brownbread.
Custom 6.5" baffles for my CDT front components,
Alpine 7995,
Memphis Belle,
Lambda Acoustics 15" subwoofer

I made a custom 2.4cu ft box that was braced to the hilt, had a double thick 1.5" baffle.

My system sounded good, but I am aiming to let the new one beat it.

It seems that the biggest change since that time was better head units that allowed for making an active setup not necessarily a chore.

I'll post in the general forum, but I want to read up everything on this forum.

One question. How old is this forum? I don't remember it 5 years ago... the place I went to then is... dead. I was wondering where all the crazy car audio people went, and I think I found them here.

Welcome, I don't know how old the site is. I'm kinda new here too, but it's a blast hanging out and learning.
