Well, all of this talk of building boxes made me want to try out something new. I contacted HexiBase and here is what he came up with:

I asked him if it was just a fancy ported box and here is what he said: "Sure, you can think of it as a ported box. It's actually a funnel box with
the quarter-wave F0 distance aligned with the approximate distance to the
front of the car. This thing aught to be effective down to about 27Hz and
pretty loud for what it is."
So, what do you guys think? I should be building it in the next few weeks.
