Eclipse to go active? or Sony CDX-C910 w/ XDP210eq

What deck would be good to go active with? I'd like to use the eclipse balanced out for 16v and what not, but I can't remember what deck was what. Can someone point me in the right direction for what i'm looking for? CD8053? CD8443? I sold these things and I just can't remember anymore, or should I stick w/ my sony with the processor?

I know the CD8053 was one as i have it but sold the BLA--duh! i believe the BLA was 37601....

CD8053 will do an advertised 16 volt balanced output, or a 10 volt unbalanced with the BLA 37601.

CD8061 and CD8062 will also do balanced output, but are not internally active, like the CD8053.

CD8443 will do active and has speaker level outputs, but does not have balanced RCA outputs.

The CDX-C910 Is a VERY nice unit. IMO though if you want to go active there are better options than the XPD-210. If you could get a hold of the XPD-4000 though that would be sweet for a active setup.

Nope...it was optional and pretty hard to find separate these days.

I could have sworn one of eclipses decks came with the BLA piece. I seem to remember not hooking it up in a few vehicles that didn't wanna pay the extra labor. I'm sure it came with something...

I guess it is possible. I own a BNIB BLA 37601. It comes in a separate small box from the CD8053 box, and has its own part number.

I see many, many, many more CD8053's for sale than I do BLA 37601's. The BLA 37601 was around long before the CD8053. They used it with the CD8061 and CD8062 balanced output, copper chassis decks.

I was out of car audio when the CD8061 and 8062 were released. They were very expensive like the 55060 and 55090 copper chassis decks. Possibly they came with the BLA 37601, but I have never heard anything to confirm that. None of my Eclipse sales brochures mention the BLA being included with any of the 3 balanced output decks.

The CD8061 and 8062's are rare decks. I've yet to own one and I've been looking for a long time.
