Default Unusual Noise

Yesterday I was sitting in my car writing down processor preset settings with the volume off and my cell phone sitting in the passenger seat. All the sudden, you know the noise your computer makes just prior to getting a call if your cell is too close to your monitor? Well, the same thing happened in my car. I assure you, at any other time you can play a zero noise track at full volume and hear nothing. I'm mystified about this. Any ideas?? I even got my home phone and called my cell trying to duplicate this and no luck. Can't afford this to happen at Finals or something dumb like that. Lets hear some feedback. Thank, Foos

Dumb reply, but you could just cut the phone off during judging at finals.

Mine and my wifes phones have done that before both at home, on the computer and in the car. Don't know what causes it.

Of course my phone will be off, but how do you assure that others will be? I'm really curious about this phenomenon. It had the VC's in my subs buzzing with no volume.

If this does not help I will try to explian it. It is the same stuff we have to deal with when working with our Military Signal Systems. It gets into Signal Theory and stuff. Not even sure I could explian this in-depth over the interwebz.

That also happens in my car when the cell is too close to the HU.
But it's not only and Alpine thing, it has happened with almost every car I've had with several different HU's, even stock ones.
Just keep your cell away from you HU and you should be OK.

Jorge.
