Default Xenon fusing

Does anyone know what the 100.4 and 600.1 are fused at?

I need to know if the 60a and 80a fuses I have for my distribution block will be sufficient, or if I need to upgrade.

Alpine CDA-9887 - PG Xenon 100.4 - PG Xenon 600.1 - Polk SR6501 mids - Seas Neo's - IDQ10V3 D2 - Knuconceptz - RAAMAudio

if you are at 4 ohms on the 4 channel 50 will be enough. and I think 60 on the 600.1 but if you are going to less than 4 ohms then you will need to fuse higher. for both

Wow, thanks. Sounds like I'll be good to go with the 60 on the 100.4 and the 80 on the 600.1. Thanks again.

I have another question, since I don't have these in my hands, yet...

Power and spaeaker connections... are they set srew type, or am I going to need spade terminals?

Sorry for these silly questions, but I have yet to find good pictures that illustrate this for me.

power is a little larger than teh speaker and remote screws too. but the amps come with 2 allen wrenchs. and they are fantastic amps. I have a 100.4, a 200.2 and a 600.1. sucks I just dont really want to give up the room to use them. so just have a little pdx5 running everything.

200x2

and i mentioned this to beaver in private message but i'll let it out here too. with the xenon amps a linedriver is basically required if you don't have preouts from hell. alpine preouts WILL NOT drive these amps the way they should be driven. when i installed my tld66 i kicked myself for not getting one sooner.

With eclipse 8v preouts, the gain still has to pushed to the upper limits.

the gains just seem to not do anything until they are over halfway. I have a line driver and never used it with mine either.

also to note is that the 100.4 will do 200x2 at 8 ohms too.

the gains on my xenons are all the way down now and screaming louder and cleaner than ever. the tld66 does 13 volts per pair rms iirc. sucker has some balls.

Wow, I didn't know that about the Xenons. I have a 100.2 and a 600.1 that I'm running right now. The 100.2's gain is pretty low while the 600.1 is a little over halfway. I always wondered why the 600.1's gain had to be so high just to match it with the 100.2's output. I have a Pioneer Premier 860 (6.5v) feeding signal to these amps. Are you guys saying I need more? I figured that I didn't need a line driver as the output of the pioneer is pretty high on its own.

I ran the ones in hillbillies truck for about 4 months without one. and ran my 600.1 without one for a few months too. just dont get all the power you could. you would still prolly like them without.

Well, I just won an ebay auction for a 100.4, so it looks like I'll be going this route for sure.

I'm pretty anxious to get my truck finished and hope this sucker ships fast.

i think you should try them without and then install a linedriver later so you can see why i'm recomending one in every post. just be ready to set the gains with your ears and not your eyes as they'll be nearly all the way up with that 9887 but with a tld66 you'll be able to run them into clipping with the gains all the way down. the tld66 also has independent l/r gain pots for each of the 6 channels

that pdx would be perfect for the elco as you're cramped for space.
