Default aiming speakers

Hey all! Im in the middle of fabricating some door pods for my PT cruiser to house my 6.5", the 1" tweets are staying on the dash. It's all an active xover. My question is where should the door 6.5s be aimed at? Should the right door be aimed at the head of the right or left driver and what about the other? Advantages / disadvantages?

Correct.

Also ,there is not a perfect answer. As all cars behave different ,with different approaches ,using different gear. Still getting the 6 1/2 out from behind will help a lot. Its mostly experimental on aiming.

Yeah i've searched but am not sure of what to search for....is there a certain word or thing to look for? I guess i see lots of cars where the speakers are shooting across from L to R, but to get the focal pt of the driver on the door truly aimed on the left side at the passenger, it seems like it would have to stick out very far.

I'm making pods for my mids too. What I'm doing is making them a little more on axis and getting them out from behind the door panel. If I want them truly on axis, they are going to look ridiculous and stick out a ton. I want to keep them from looking completely unnatural, while still getting them out from behind the door panel and aiming them the best i can.

Does anyone have pictures of door panels or pods where they have been mounted on axis? I've searched but not found any.
