Bought me a new daily driver. 75,000 original miles and almost perfect. This is my second one so I'm pretty familiar with these.
Pulled all the trunk panels and found out were the JL 300/4 and 250/1 are going. It will be completely stealth but very accessible. Going to be running a Kicker Comp 10 in free air on the reinforced back deck lid. Some leftover Focal 4 " coaxials in the rear. Still trying to figure out the front. An Alpine IVA-505 will be replacing the factory deck. Trying to keep this one in around a budget. I'll post some pics tommorow of the new one. I've got some teasers of the interior and motor. Car has new wheels and tires along with all new chrome trim. Windows are now tinted also. Shane |

good luck with bass. all ive ever read is that the trunk is small and is a bass trap since its completely isolated from the cabin due to the gas tank sort of like the gto but moreso. i love those cars but ive heard theyre nightmares for an install.

Hhmm rear speakers in the same enclosure (trunk) as the sub, could be asking for trouble there. Anyway you could build small enclosures for them to mount under each one. Or even better IMO, go with a sealed enclosure while still mounting it on the rear deck. Nice car by the way. |

Or an IB setup? Nice find btw. Always wanted to have one of those but just too much money for me.

This one was $6,000.00.
Yep, IB setup in the rear with a low end Kicker Comp 10 driver. I'll problably do some foam baffles over the 4's to keep the ten away from them. That what I did in the car before this one. Once you know the car the install is actually pretty easy. This is going to be a very basic install. Nothing crazy. I already did that to the garage queen here: 2004 Cady CTS-V Install Shane |

Worked on the amp rack on the tank tonight. It worked out perfect. Got to love liquid nails. Time to do some wiring.

Aw man your cts is inspiration for me. I did not realize it was yours. I can't wait to hear my IB setup. I am excited to see yours progress too.

***Update 7/14/08***
Got all the amp wiring done. Focals mounted in rear deck and 10" Kenwood Comp mounted in rear deck. It cleared by 1/8". Mounted radar detector with mirror mount for a corvette (it sits pefectly straight, pic makes it look crooked) and started dynamating the doors. Pic of the car next to his brother. Enjoy. Shane |

Stripped the rest of the dash assembly. Had to remove a bunch of pieces to install the DEI remote start and keyless piece. Got all the battery connections done also.
