runnin sub on 8ohm

Would like to know if anyone has run this config in a car, i know home are common.
What are the Pros and Cons runnin 8ohm.
Reason i'm asking is i'm considering an Orion XTR900 hooked to a Focal 33V2.The Orion is rated at 900watts 4ohm BRIDGED and the Focal has 2x4ohm VC.No where on the web can i find that the XTR will do 2ohm bridged STABLE so the only alternative would be runnin the sub 8ohm and hooked to the amp.Getting it to run 2 similar sub just to get 4ohm load is not my option right now.

That's perfectly fine. The dcr of the focal 33v2 sub is actually 2.1ohms, so running the sub in series is more of a 4 ohm minimal load to your amp.
