This was the first sub I ever owned. I remember them being loud, and seemed like the SQ was good. This was before I knew what SQ was, though...haha

The SPL160 shouldn't have been an SPL series sub IMO. Honestly, I'd have called it an Exact15. Yes, in the right box they'd cave your chest in, but in medium or large sealed enclosures or IB they're PHENOMENAL SQ subs. The SPL170 on the other hand was more in line with the other SPL series subs.
