my cuz had me by one for him thorugh ebay so i could have it shipped to him directly.. a 4.150.. this guy has them for 373 +21 for shipping... it came brand new w/ serials as from alpine.. great seller just wanted to let you guys know looking for one. thats damn near as cheap new as you will see on them anywhere almost sheet cost... damn near close...

probably because alpine also makes the h701 processor. more reason for you to spend money on alpine in their eyes.

alpine has become such a pusher these days. They know you want their crap. they just force you to buy a bunch of seperate things to get what you want out of their line.

I don't see anything wrong with x-overs. In fact I'd prefer not to have them at all.
I got this issue solved now with the drzzzzeee. :p

As for the price, I'll maybe get a set of the amps for the whole system as soon as they hit a 300 mark an amp. For now i'll try to get a Xenon set.

way to basic imo.. for those that would like to do a active setup with a hu that doesnt have everything on it.. they only go to 400hz, no bandpass ability and no x10 or x5 button.. i still consider changing them out now if they had a better x-over id be set for a long while

but i doubt they will drop much if at all in price.. the ebay seller i posted is hardly making anything on them as it is

no. but i can say not sure how it will work he was able to go to alpine and register the unit on the web site.. but im sure they will want a reciept from a authorized dealer if it breaks. alpine are sticklers about reciepts

This has been my biggest problem with alpine these days. If you want a CD player, USB, and active capabilities you have to buy 3 things instead of just one like some others offer.

They still make some very nice stuff though, don't get me wrong.

From the description that CA&E mag gave it these amps laugh at abuse. I don't think a warrantee is too much an issue.

Has anyone compared the PDX 4.100 vs the 4.150? Is the 50 extra watts worth the $100 extra?

imo yes. and if you are buying off ebay there is only maybe a 35-40$ overall difference for that price ABSOLUTLY GET THE 150... unles syou just simply dont need it like maybe for tweeters or similar..
