Before second battery I`d rather install bank of supercapacitors.

It seems like most people don't care to actually understand reality.

Newest tech used in satellites and high tech medical equipment.
It`s like battery but 10 time lighter and faster to charge. internal resistance almost zero ESR is lightning fast, faster than that in conventional car capacitors. 500 farad in package size of carton or smokes.
1farad cap in size of 2032 button battery.
for comparison
great subwoofer amplifier has 4/100 of a farad in it`s power supply.

500Farad supercap can be used as car battery.
if used alongside of car battery will greatly improve your electrical system.
downsides is that you can`t leave it charged for a month, it drains fast.
Pricier than car battery.
quality of chinese knock offs just horrific.

I use supercaps in everything I make these days. It let me use smaller inductance in place of bulkier transformer in switching power supplies.
I use 83farad one together with walmart battery in my truck, no light dimming and music hit harder than ever.

It seems like most people don't care to actually understand reality.

I make them. for a motorcycle I`d make a small one about 4x3x2" for 20 farad or so. Price depends on quality of case. move to PM please if you have more questions.

Sabre is your name Steven? This setup sounds real familiar from the SOS Facebook page. I'm running MMats in my fairing and gonna install some MMats 8s in my lids this weekend. I can only imagine how good your setup sounds.
