Default New system time, Eclipse 8443, Arc 5150, Arc 10, RS180, Seas S

Time to put a new system in the old Taco, this system rocks in a well deadened, properly aligned and tuned vehicle. (I beat a prior world champ in that truck, twice, two different systems for me, two different vehicles and systems for him, swapped to this system and loved it all these years since)

THE GEAR LOOKS MUCH BETTER IN PERSON THAN THE PICS, I promise.

New system going in: JVC 925BT, Arc KS Mini 125.2 and 125.2BX, Arc Series 6.5 coax, New gen Arc 10

Product Brand & Model: Total Price: :
Eclipse 8443, been in my ex comp truck for many years and works perfectly, looks dang fine as well, $169 OBO shipped.

Arc Audio 5150 5 channel amp, US built, top of the line, works perfect, a bit roughed up on the top, $249 shipped, OBO.

NO LONGER AVAILABLE: Arc 10 D2 Sub, great little sub, plays great, cone is a bit scuffed but could be cleaned up a bit if you wanted it prettier, just swapping in a newer version, $89 shipped, OBO

PE RS180-4 mids, I loved them all these years but time to go, $59 OBO shipped for the pair.

Seas 27TBC/G full size tweeters, I have at least 8 more pairs for in wall systems I might get installed someday, when we move to a new place
1 pr, from my truck, a bit of dust under the grill but play perfect, $59 OBO shipped.

Condition of all items:
USED, as described, all work great.

Shipping Terms: :
FedEx ground or whatever costs me the least, optional faster shipping at your extra cost.

Pictures: - Unless you are a Upgraded member, or your last 10 iTrader feedbacks are positive, you must post a picture of the exact item you are selling.

Additional info:

As always, GOOGLE me up to see who you are dealing with, no worries, I take care of those that buy from me.

And, not the greatest pics but all I am going to post, never enough time!

OBO = reasonable offers, low ballers look elsewhere please

No trades unless for a JVC NT3 or NT50 as I will be running those in my Vette and 4 runner with the Arc processor as soon as it comes out. If you happen to have a Lexan windshield, S52 or S54 engine, etc for my M3 race car let me know as well

Thanks

Thanks, it has been a very sweet little system for many years, never a hickup, always enjoyed it. Only swapping out to run current gear and my son can use an Iphone or whatever he wants to use in it.

----------

Sub, 5 3/8" depth, with the rubber boot taken off the motor as I always do if they have them.

I used to make an underseat enclosure for Subarus and these worked very very well there

I am looking at it for a drivers' side trunk enclosure, I think 5 3/8 is a little too deep. Got any links to the underseat enclosures you did?

I get asked all the time to make those again, I might do so if I can find some time to make one unit for mold production.

Search on NASIOC for the enclosure, should be able to find one there, old pics at least.

If was for the last gen cars, first one was made for an early STI, 04 I believe.

Yeah it's a 2001. SF I think for the Subaru-model freaks, did your enclosure go under the passenger seat? What size are those PE mids?

What other sub-5" depth subs have you used that you'd recommend?

Thanks, the XXK amps are great! I am installing two KS 600.2 amps in the 4runner because the SE amps are to big for my limited space and power I want, I run the KS mini 125.4 and 500.1 in the Vette, dang fine for their size, I had a couple of extra 125.2 from the first gen so using one in the Taco along with the 125.2 BX so I can check it out. I am making a bit more room in the back for our doggies when on local errands so the tiny amps can be stuffed most anywhere.

The XXK just does not have a home so I want it to go to somebody that can enjoy it.

(If you dig and and find out more about the 600.2 amps, dang fine sounding and powerful for the size, 400x2 for the comps and 1200 for the sub)

--------------

Yes, under the front passenger seat, 17lbs with sub, nothing like great upfront bass and the lest location for handling dynamics plus seal off the trunk in sedans, no need to deaden it, saves money and weight and work

I have to cut out the floor in the 4runner, under the rear passenger seat, weld in an enclosure for the 12" BL sub, the only place I can put a sub as our Akita and Irish Wolfhound take up the whole rear! I had to swap the exhaust to get enough room for the sub enclosure as well, then deaden like mad as the Borla dual outlet exhaust sounds great but was to loud.

I stopped swapping sub brands after many setups once I started running ID and Arc, they have always had what I needed but I only used the IDQ, IDMAX, Arc series, none of the others except I have 4 ID15's in my living room and a 10 and 12 BL for my Vette and 4Runner but not installed yet. Others here can help you find a sub to fit your needs I am sure.

--------------

Got to get back to work, been swamped since before Tday, trying to catch back up from last week!

The gear is much nicer in person than my pictures show, you would think that somebody that learned how to use a manual 35mm, slide film always, very good at it, could use a 14MB point and shoot!

I guess I better start using the 2/3 Olympus camera I just got.

I have ran nothing but Arc and ID for many years except the speakers I put in the Taco when I pulled out the $20k system, I had those on hand so used them.

I decided to go to a three way in the Taco so running a 300.4 and 300.2 for the front stage, 600.2 for the sub now, will run the Arc processor in it as well

I came close to putting the ID horns from the Duramax into the Taco but will not use ID branded products any longer. I will run Erics horns again someday absolutely though, not sure what vehicle, maybe my Vette

We picked up the mint, loaded, 07 4runner, NADA was $29,700 last fall, for $21. I sold the stock 18's and tires, selling the stock Nav, a few other parts, went with some good 20's to get the tires I wanted for towing/ride/handling, 5100 Bilstiens, rear sway bar and bags, my own alignment so now it handles incredibly better than stock. I added a Borla dual exhaust, an intake, going all out on the audio and deadening and will end up well below blue book value when done

I never wanted an SUV before, loved this one right off except mushy handling and road noise, now it is my second all time favorite vehicle, even more than the Vette because it has far more uses and gets used far more

AMP SOLD, shipping on Monday

RS180 Mids SOLD, shipping Monday

8443 still here, I will have an 8053 available soon as well, might still have two of those.

Tweeters still available but no big deal if not sold, I will just put in in the box with all the others I have Maybe I should sell all the in wall kits I bought them for since we might be changing locations a few more times before retiring in a few years.

I do not have any pics of the Studevette project, the chassis is sitting on its side on rollers I made, next to the body, in storage. I was going to pull it out and take pictures last fall but was just to busy to get to it as sold the Scion race car and Featherlite trailer and had to get them ready for the buyers, getting the 4runner setup for winter we had bought then as well.....

I am looking at the idea of just selling the body and getting something with a drop top and big enough back seat to put on the chassis so we can go cruising top down with our Akita and Irish Wolfhound in the back seat

When I bought the body we did not have a dog yet, now two big ones and they love to go with us and are absolutely perfect when we travel, they beg to just run to the store, anytime we get the keys out they are ready for a ride. Both are very sweet and have the perfect balance of friendliness and protection if needed. The install on the 4runner would be much easier if I could of put the sub in the back but they ride there so it is going under the passenger seat, I have to cut out the floor and weld in an enclosure but worth it, a single Black Line 12 with 1,200 watts will have to do.

2012 Duramax dually, high end audio going in, of course

2002 Z06 Vette/53 Studebaker Pro Tour project For Sale

The 8053 has been used quite a bit and has some wear on the face, knobs, etc but works perfect and I have the knob remote. I can pull it in a day or so if you want it, $179 shipped.

I prefer PayPal to ram@raamaudio.com, my personal account.

It will be a sad day when the last of my 8443 and 8553 HUs are gone, I had at least 3 of each at one time.

Which unit is in better shape? Were there much differences between the head units? I'm sorry for the questions. Just looking for a good head unit to throw into my 85 corolla.

The 8053 is a dead head, no internal amplifiers, has a fair amount of wear around the knobs but functions perfectly.

The 8443 has internal amps, much better cosmetically as in very fine condition that way, functions perfectly.

The have the same processor, DAC, external power supply, 10 band parametric EQ, 3 way 6/12/18/24 db variable crossovers 8volt pre outs, etc....

I have always believed these to be the best bang for the buck, reliable, HUs ever, why I had so many of them. I have owned $2,5k HUs, most of the top, now older or very old school processors, outboard DAC's, etc.....and though not the very best in sound quality they are dang fine and certainly more than enough for any good daily driver system when you are driving down the road.

I am hoping the JVC HUs with 24bit Burr Brown DACs, 7 band EQ, 2 way crossovers, etc, I bought to replace them will be acceptable compared to the Eclipse units.

Since I have ran nothing but active crossovers for many years I would not consider passives except in the Taco it will be coax speakers in perfectly aligned kick panels with a very simple passive crossover. I want to give the new Arc series speakers a try, supposed to be pretty dang fine for the low price point.

Have a great day

I'm always a couple days late with your sale threads. lol (the amp is gone, right?)

Bump for a great guy. No one should have any hesitation doing business with him.
