I may be ignorant to what you are suggesting as the description "tricky" could be misconstrued. I'm can be one of the world's worst pessimists when it comes to how to deal with some people (I'm working on improving that). But Scott is definitely not someone that you have to worry about trying to swindle you.
Besides being one of the most well known people in the mobile electronics industry (and being the CEO of a company that grosses enough money to dwarf these few forum sales he occasionally coordinates), he actually takes the time to make sure that no matter what you purpose is for contacting him (be it customer, diy member, or even a potential competitor) he operates with the highest integrity.
I'm sure I wont be the only one to defend his rep so I suggest either PMing him to explain you concerns directly or since you put him on blast explain yourself fully so readers will have your full experience dealing with him and can make up their own minds.
...and for full disclosure yes I have dealt with him as a customer, seller, potential employer and finally as someone who knows the industry somewhat... (understatement of the year LOL!!!)

I have never met the man but know his reputation and pretty much every high end car audio shop I go to know's this guy in some form and that is not even Hybrid dealers too. A VERY respected individual and someone I would love to meet and take a listen to his Infinity some day. I was told it had 5 JL HD 750.1 in it
You should of dealt with it in private e-mail, instead of trying to publicly tarnish a person's rep.

I think what everyone's trying to say is; it doesn't matter if it's Scott, John or Frank. You should always pm the seller first to let them make things right. There's always the possibility for human error. If you don't think you got as good a deal, Scott is offering your money back plus 10%.

How do you like the HD750's compared to the Arc se's you had in there before soundwise? Six HD750's must sound awesome with lotd of headroom!!!
