I have a pair of TB W3-1878 3" full ranges for sale. One has a crack where one screw hole is, but it does not effect the performance at all.

almost got a pair of these a while back. what was your impression of these on their frequency response?

In the right enclosure they are brilliant. I managed to make .25 cubes for each driver on my dash and they could have played down to 100HZ all the time. I primarily ran them from 250HZ - 20K. In a smaller enclosure 500HZ on up would not be a problem. Just my install has taken a much different turn...

That is dependant on the listener. I certainly thought they sounded great!

But PE is selling them NIB for $84. How can they sell them for $154 when the list price is $100? I'm figuring these are used so they are 50% of what new sells for ...plus they are broken. I was making an offer at a point I thought would fit with my needs. I can use them ...but they are 'overkill' for what I need. They will probably be appreciated more by someone else. I didn't mean to get into a 'pissing contest' ...just made an offer. I had funds ready to go when I made it.

They are not broken at all! The functionality of both speakers is fine, there is only a crack over one of the mounting screws.
