ALMOST brand new, screen protectors are still in place and all plastic bags are accounted for. I connected the MS-8 but didn't even put an audio signal through it. I purchased it new from an authorized dealer and can include all receipts.

Additional info:
I wanted to see if I could forego a head unit altogether and just run my iPod through the MS-8. The MS-8 menu navigation wasn't quite efficient enough for me to go without the head unit.
For the time being, it appears that JBL isn't selling their refurbished models. But at $370 shipped for a virtually new model, this is a better price than JBL's refurbished models anyway! (When available, JBL refurbished MS-8 cost about $440 shipped.)

^ I wanted to try just using my iPod through the aux input of the MS-8 and skipping out on buying a head unit. Unfortunately, due to the inconsistent nature of the mp3s I play on my iPod, I have to fiddle with EQ settings pretty frequently. The 31-band EQ on the MS-8 is certainly accurate, but its a little more cumbersome to adjust than a standard head unit.
I didn't want to change the factory head unit, since it's an oddball size. But its probably more efficient to just do that than use the MS-8 menu navigation. The MS-8 menu is certainly good at what it's designed for; I was just trying to use it for something it wasn't exactly meant to do.
