I rarely add to a thread that has been drug through the mud like this, but I feel a little different about this one. Simply put, everyone is responsible for their own actions. If you buy/sell/send anything to anyone it is your choice and your responsibility to research and make sure that you will not get ripped off. I have asked opinions of certain places and people and have taken those opinions into consideration. I have also had people tell me about their experiences sometimes minutes after clicking an order button. Some of these experiences were terrible. I can't blame anyone but me for making the choice and the other person for not fulfilling the promised action.
I just mentioned it cause I am 99% sure Quest didnt know it and assumed I was a racist white person...
I didnt think there was such as thing as racism against white people....is there?
anyhow..I wasnt trying to offend anyone...just saying I am not racist...and technically not white in the sense of the typical thought of a white boy...
but I look like anyone else ...that is 100% white or what the typical white person is thought as...

problem I have with this entire thing other than you trying to call me out for the deal was that I was entirely trying to do what I could with you to help and offered to help you if I could at all....only to turn around and find you bashing me this morning on the forum...without ever talking to me again first.

I've got the number of a tech in Houma, he's got 21 years of experience, anyone needing to send their broken amps to get fixed can send me an email and if I like you, I'll maybe send you his address. Btw, I vouch personally for this guy, we've exchanged several emails and there's no deductible or deposit to get your amp looked at. He's a really nice guy I think, drives a van.... down by the river...

the thing about something too good to be true, still finds merit in this day and age. Unless this guy had a gun to anyone's head, I wouldn't be blaming gentlejax about it, it's a gamble and anyone sending their stuff off "to a guy" is taking a risk, I don't care who is vouching or what. I have had an amp at a repair shop for 6 months before so its not totally unusual...
but I dont think it takes that much time to get to an email and make a reply...no excuse for that really unless his internet is off..
I work in the IT field and am amazed at how many of my coworkers will go days and sometimes even more than a week without checking their personal email accounts. It drives me crazy!
Maybe that's the case with this guy... maybe going online isn't a daily thing for him?
