I don't know, it doesn't have bassenginepro either. Still, it's nice to see biolite in more decks. The 9861 looks great, I may just have to pick one of them up.

okay I have officially found my new deck

IVA-W200

hope it gets released

+ some more info from another forum

Quote:
Full Speed ipod no longer requires an additional black box, it is a direct connection to your iPOD using an optional $30 cable to connect it. No more protocol translations to slow down the communication, hence "Full Speed iPOD".

The unit is a self contained 2-DIN unit, no hideaway box!

Release should be around the end of the Q1 2006 (that's March, hopefully).

The Navigation solution I cannot say too much about. You will be able to add NAV to this screen with full touch controls, traffic updates and much more for about $1k or take it on the road with you in ANY car, even a rental!!! Can you say... P o R t A b L e ! ! !

Anything else I missed???

Very cool, then...

And yes the Double Din has Optical out as well... so both make very good affordable options to use with the 701 combo...

It would be really cool if the full speed Ipod interface did the D/A on the deck or could send it to a 701..doubtful though.

It does look pretty cool. I'll have to read more after work.

If not at least the RUX would give you a rotary volume control

The W200 is supposed to control the H701 just like the two multi channel amps. The D310 is still a current model. The W200 has the pulsetouch as well as the new D100.
The new DVA-9861 can also control the H701

Seems pretty moronic for the 9861 and 200 to be completely loaded with all those features, including dual 24-bit DACs, and not have Bass Engine Pro with DSP.

And the 9965 has BEP, but not DVD-Audio.

None of the units have all the features in one.

It looks like the 9861 or 200 with H701 will be the popular Alpine setup.

Actually, I heard last year the DVA-9965 was supposed to play DVD-Audio. However, you never know since it took 9 months to reach Crutchfield and it still isn't in stock.

Yeah I am kind of disappointed that the BEP is not a standard feature on all the HUs that have the 3 RCA outputs and cost over $300. I was looking at an in dash DVD player with BEP. Seems like they want you to buy the 701 too...

lesson to the traveler, southwest likes to overbook ( or am I the only one that didnt know this :lol)

man I get to the terminal with 20 minutes to spare, and I notice like three people getting on the plane. I walk up wiht my trusty home printed boarding pass, ID, etc--camera--two batteries, two CF cards readt to go.

get to the terminal, and they tell me I needed to get to the terminal with mor than 30 minutes or they have the right to give my seat away--and they just did, told me I was 3 minutes too late as the flight was no full. arrrrgh

and that I cant get on another flight till 11am--with the doors @ CES closing at 6pm, it wasnt even going to be worth it for maybe 4 hours or so once I would have gotten to the convention center after taxis and all that

so I bummed as Im back at work waiting for pictures just like everyone else darn, maybe next year I guess

Don't have a picture, but I went by the Morel booth and they have a new Supremo mid/bass and tweeter.

I was told the tweeter is named the "Piccolo" and has the exact same dome/motor as the larger version. The nice thing is that the flange is significantly smaller than the Supremo and it's a bit shallower too.

The mid/bass looked like their other mids... 3" vc and I believe a paper cone?

A speaker is only as good as the room you put it in.
