Default Phoenix gold amp died on me.

Well my Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1 up and quit on me yesterday. Only had it for about a month and I had boughten it new in a box. Went wine tasting in Napa and it was a hot day, on the drive home I noticed my sub wasn't working anymore. The blue LED on the amp is on, but the fan isn't working nor am I getting any sound. Not sure if the fan went out causing it to overheat, of if something else died causing the fan to go out with it.

It has no external fuses and I'm not even sure it has internal fuses for that matter. I would think an amp of this quality would have a protection circuit incase it overheats so I'm a bit curious as to what happened. If the LED light is on it's obviously getting power as are the other 2 amps using the same shared ground/12v/remote. I haven't looked inside yet for obvious signs of damage, or know if I could even see anything.

Anyone have a clue as to what might have happened? I got it for 250$ so I'm not sure if its even worth trying to get repair with shipping and repair costs, or if I should just get a new amp. I liked the fact it could do full power at 2 or 4 ohms and not sure I can find something like it in the same price range. Might call Zed to see about repairing but does anyone have a clue what might have happened?

Fixing might be a bitch, as it uses tripath chip.
