cant post in classified even after 100 post count

I have PM'd a few mods and the site email, only one mod bothered to answer my question or even respond, so I figured I might get some help starting a basically useless thread.

I've reached my 100 post count minimum, at least I believe I have, as I'm not sure of the exact posts in off topic forums, but I still can not post anything in the classified forums. If the rules have changed can someone please verify exactly what the requirements are now. Maybe it just needs to be approved by someone with access to site settings.

I don't want to sell anything at the moment, but would sometimes like to get more info or respond to a thread without the use of PM.

I forget do we have a 50/90 rule here? If so then you will have to wait until you reach your 90th day.

That could be it too, but the only rules I see is this:

Status

I could just be missing some other rule or minimum that I haven't seen.

I don't see anything on a 50/90 either. Also since you can see the classifieds I would think there isn't one. Maybe the system only updates weekly or something and has not caught up to your meeting the 100 post count rule. Looks like it has been 5 days though which does seem excessive for that kind of feature.

I was hoping it was just like an update or something too, but it has been awhile since I hit a 100. The only other thing I can think of is that I don't have a true 100 cause some of my posts were in off topic, which doesn't count, maybe when I reach 150 or something it'll open up, I just wish I had the exact number so I knew. Worse case I'll have to wait till I actually need to sell something, then I'll have to pay.

Remember a thread from someone with the same problem and a mod fixed it for them.

Edit. Since I seen I just hit 100 on this post I went to the for sale ad and worked for me.

Not a matter of being a cheapskate, and thanks for your oh so helpful comment, I guess you missed the point to take a jab at me..whatever though.

I don't need to sell anything at the moment, I wanted access simply to comment or ask a question from time to time. Yeah I can afford the 3$ a month, thats not the point though. I already support a few other websites, and I probably will support this site, maybe I'm curious about why I can't post and maybe it'd be helpful to other members who might be having the same issue who can't afford the 3$ a month.

I don't think it's $3 more like 30. I remember back in the day I have over 200 posts but I picked some other Hobbys and logged back in after a really long time and I had like 60 posts.

3 months is 10$ so it works out about 3$ a month or so.

I stand corrected, I remember I was going to sell some stuff a while back but could not because of the rule change. I remember them asking for $30. I guess since then they updated it to the $10 deal. It was strange because I had all this itrader feedback (quite a few not recorded) and I still could not sell because of the rule changes. Years back all you needed was 50.

Yeah, I think they had alot of guys just coming in to sell stuff and that was the only reason for joining. I can totally understand the rule, I'm fine with it, just curious as to why I'm still locked out.

Sucks that they still made you pay after a bunch of sales, even if they were older.

I never paid the $30, I think what i was trying to sell I would have got $40 bucks for so I passed. The $10 deals seems good, but you hit your 100 so you should PM a mod and they will help you.

Sorry about the lack of response...I saw your pm but have been ridiculously busy lately and hadn't had a chance to look into it til just a few moments ago.

You signed up to the site after the most recent round of changes were made (about 6-9 months ago). You do not gain access to the classifieds with 100 posts any more (actually it used to be 50). The only way now is to upgrade your membership somehow, or, get into the 500 club, which involves reaching 500 posts and being on the forum for a minimum of 50 days (which you still haven't reached either).

Ridiculous. Sellers already eat Paypal and often shipping fees as everyone is out for absolute best deal these days. Now I gotta pay another ten just to post classifieds. I also fall into the category of people who sold pre rule changes and now am on the outside looking in. Guess ill just continue to lurk and do my selling on other sites

How do you post
