Are you running active? If so you ought to be able to stage sufficently. You are going to LOVE those CDT's.

the tweeter will sound really bad right there.
do a custom fiberglass mold into the a-pillar.

are you sure it will sound bad
if it will then can i do it like you but flush against the pillar not out like yours because i would just cut a hole and mount it in there but same position as yours |

I would suggest you look for his build thread and see WHY he has them angled that way before you dismiss it for the sake of aesthetics. |

The tweeters up on the glass like that. All I can think is reflections and major problems to try and over come with tuning. Since you are passive that makes it twice as hard and even active it would be a B*tch to try to pull off.
I think you would be better off putting the tweeters in the door vs. trying them up agianst the glass like that.IMO |

You will need time alignment due to the difference in l/r pathways. If the three drivers are close to each other, you might be able to get away with time aligning them equally; active x-overs with each driver time aligned separately would be best. jps

Time alignment is almost useless for the frequencies the tweeter will be playing.

I thought that is why he switched to the a-pillars. I know he had them in the door at one time. |

Lexiz: Here's my advice to you: 1) Try the tweeters double sided taped to several positions for a few days each. Try a lot of music. Maybe you'll like the extra sibilance from firing at glass. As you can see in my tweeter install, I *very* carefully avoided the glass as much as possible. 2) After finding the best position (probably something similar to mine, with those silk domes you have) then rank your positions based on aesthetics and sound quality. 3) Decide what is more important: Aesthetics or sound quality. If you pick the first one, question yourself as to why you need expensive speakers

Oh, yeah I was talking about Midnight's install. Agreed, that corner dash location firing up is gonna suck. |
