Default BitOne vs MS-8

I know both have been covered but I have a few questions. I will using the OE deck so speaker level input.

I was going to go with a BitOne but the MS-8 has intrigued me on many levels. They should be directly swappable when the MS-8 comes out, right? Also anyone have any clue when the MS-8 is coming out. I was doing research on google and they've been talking about it since 2007.

i know it's a long thread but might be worth your reading if you are thinking about the MS-8:

http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/...processor.html

theories, as well as snarky commentaries, abound about release date, and many have, with good reason, given up hope altogether that this product will ever see the light of day.

i, for one, hold out hope to see this unit someday in the not too distant future. until then, yes, i would think that the BitOne.1 will swap out nicely with the MS-8, as they perform the same functions and have similar in/outs. you may decide you like the BitOne.1 enough to keep it after the MS-8 comes out anyway.

just my $.02, YMMV.

It is "coming out". It's just not out yet. If you need somehting quick, get the BitOne.1.

Yes, it should be pretty easy to swap when we're finally finished.

Must be pretty difficult to resist being an A-hole when someone mentions MS-8. Whatever.

Andy,

I'm sure you can understand everyone's skepticism. It's been "not far off" for over two years now.

I definitely hope you guys can get this on the market as it seems like it would be amazing, but everyone is definitely skeptical at this point.

I've seen the one MS8 that does exist in action at CES 07 in Gary Biggs BMW. WOW is all I can say. I own a 360.2, work for Audison dealer and will probably use the MS8 when it comes out.

Is the 360.2 really as shitty as everyone says it is?

Newer 3 series sedan. Stock speakers, stock locations. JBL amps running them though and a pair of JBL 12's. It's ONE of the best sounding cars I've heard period. Switch the bypass on the MS8 and it all goes to hell in a hand basket real quick, but the processor works magic on a sound stage.

Can you elaborate on that? I've been looking at them.

Also, what is the projected price of the MS-8 if it ever does come out?

Andy,

I have read several entire threads and other reports on the MS-8 that date back to late 2006. I have been eagerly awaiting its release for a long time. Do you have anything like a REALISTIC estimated timeline for it to be available to consumers? If not, how likely is it that the MS-8 will ever be produced?
