Default how to connect RCA only sub amp??

I'm was wanting to connect an old Memphis 500w amp in my nieces Lexus IS300 that only has 4 small speakers from the factory. My problem is that the amp is RCA only inputs and she was wanting to keep the factory stereo unit. Can I just connect an hi/low signal converter inline from the 2 rear speakers and then to the amp??? What other ways can I add this amp?? Thanks for any help
