Default Trying to find suitable amp

Well i have a kenwood kdc x991 head unit and 2 jl 12w3v3's in a sealed box. Last night my amp (1200w sony xplode) finally cut out after lasting through 3 vehicles over almost 5 years (the wierd part is that the amp turns on but shuts off right away with no protection light).

Now i'm trying to figure out what amp i should buy to replace it but the choices are endless. Can someone explain to me how many channels i need, how many ohms, how many watts (i'm pretty sure the jl w3v3's are rated at 300w rms each), etc?

I can't remember if they're DVC or SVC and how many ohms they are so tonight i'll take them out of the enclosure and see what i'm working with.

I'm not very electrically inclined so have patience with me lol

Edit: So far i'm looking at a kenwood excelon x600f 1200w 4ch amp. The specs say it'd push out 300w rms at 4 ohms when you bridge the channels and have a sub running to each bridged channel. that would work well as long as my subs are in fact 4 ohm subs... wouldn't it?

They are SVC. Find out if they are 2, 4, or 8 ohms. The sub ohms changes the amp load a lot.
