Default Lack of Midrange with CWM6-Kit

Recently I installed a set of CWM6-KIT components in my car. I pretty much decided on these due to them being highly touted on this forum. A little after installing them, one of the midbasses went out and I had to sent it in for RMA.

At the time I was only running a front stage in my car. I bridged my 4 channel amp and just left my rear speakers disconnected. I thought it sounded great compared to my old infinity speakers. The vocals were a little bright but very clear and loud and I had great midbass compared to my old speakers.

While I was waiting for my new midbass driver, I hooked up one of my rear infinity speakers. So I was running one CWM6 tweeter and midbass in the front and then an infinity coaxial in the back.

Well, I finally got my new midbass driver. I disconnected the rear infinity speaker and went back to only running a front stage with the CWM6 components and instantly noticed a lack of midrange. I'm a car stereo noob as far as SQ goes so I'm not sure if midrange is the correct term. Pretty much I have really good vocals and really good midbass but it's the frequency range in between that seems to be lacking. Some of the instrumentals seem on the quiet side. There are some songs that you would have never known a certain sound was in the beat if you haven't previously heard it. I'll give an example...

At 41 seconds of this song there is a "weird" "ding ding" sound. That sound is barely audible in my car.

Now I'm not sure if it's just a limitation on the my speakers' ability to effectively reproduce that sound or if my system isn't tuned correctly.

This is bugging me pretty bad and I'm contemplating unbridging my amp and running front and rear speakers again even though it pulls the soundstage back really back.

It would probably help to know what my setup is:
Pioneer DEH-4900ib
Alpine MRP-F250
Cadence CWM6-KIT

Along with the standard parametric equalizer, my headunit lets you adjust the center frequency and Q factor but no matter how I change it, it doesn't help at all. The current settings are:

Low: 100hz 2 wide
Mid: 2khz 2 wide
High 10khz 2 wide

Any advice would be great!
