Question Adire brahma re-cone needed..

Hello everyone here At diyma I'm new here and have alot of intrest in car audio I've been tinkering for about 6 years on and off now. But my hopes of one day getting my car stero up n running are coming closer by the um years I guess lol. I've collected a few items over the years nothing really interesting don't get me wrong it's all interesting just nothing of real idk how to put it, sometimes I affix myself to certian brands and won't ever buy anything but that brand. I firs bought a 12" brahma off eBay and when I hooked it up to my jbl 1200 watt amp that I no longer have I said to myself I'm neveR buying anything but adire for my subs. Sold that 12, bought a nother one sold that to Scottie Johnson that was neat got an autographed pic of him and his van. TheN I picked a blown 15 up for 150 figure I'd get it reconed and have me a nice brahma for 275 a fraction of what they cost new at the time. And it's been sittin ever since. And to top it off adire went out of buisness. Anyways I'm rambling on so I'll get to my point here's what I have at the moment. Pineer premier deh-p960mp, hifonics 1600.1, re 6.5 component set, lots and lots of 2/0 wire, I Mingt have some for sale after my install. I'm lookin for an amp for my front, some sound deadning, and a few odds n ends. The vechile it's all Going in is a...97 mercury villager van lol don't flack the wheels they were free lol when I'm done I'll take te v off villager tint all the windows to 5% then it will be the illager lol. Ok so Id like to get my speaker recone but after going to adires website I got ahold of pat from robotunderground and we sent a few emails back and forth about diffrent mods he could do to my brahma.. Those woven leads sound nice, new dustcaps tight! But wait you didn't think I was going to hand it over to somoene I didn't know or never heard of so what do u do in a case like this?? Google Patrick Chandler sub and that's what lead me here, now I got to page 7 of the ampro vs dasbot exodus and figured I want my brahma sent to someone who has adire parts not the "junk" so many ppl discribed. Bottom line who would you send your speaker to? I don't want to lose my xbl2 that's what makes the brahma so great IMO. So please help me out give me some suggestions on my setup or whatever any input is always good. Mostly.. Thx

David at PSI. Hands down the best person to send it to. He used to work for/with Adire back in the glory days of Adire. His work is very very nice.

I just sent him my MK1 15" Brahma to get a custom aluminum D1 Ohm VC setup!

Not to flame Pat at RU, but the MK4 stuff he is pushing is NOT the same as the MK1 & MK2 Brahmas. The originals can handle 1600RMS, the MK4 600RMS... Not the same. And that is not even broaching the XBL2 motor questions in the MK4s, which is beyond my technical knowledge.

His website is Fix My Speaker - LOUD Speaker Rebuilds, Repairs, and Supplies! or catch him here: (FMS) - Car Audio Classifieds

Check out the ED rebuild and the Juggernaut rebuild. Very impressive.

"Illager", I like it!!!

If the trailer is a Spartan or Airstream let me know

I will be coming down to Daytona on the 18th weekend for the VW Winter Jam. Lots of surfing, car shows, bikini shows, and some rockin' bands coupled with a few late night House music DJs. House is gooood stuff.

Welcome to WinterJAM 2010

VWs air and water + music + surf fun = good times.

PM me if you are interested!
