Default Xscorpion Linear Actuators?

There are a ton of Xscorpion linear actuators for sale on Ebay. Anyone here ever use one? The price is right but I'm concerned about the quality. I need an 18" actuator for my current project but want to make sure it's not going to crap out and give the customer troubles. Thanks.

I've used a lot of Xscorpions accessories and was never disappointed. Never used linear actuators, but plenty of DLAs. Nice OFC Wire kits too.

i just ordered one of the 2" actuators, might be under-powered for my application (parking brake, no straightforward math) but i like the build. built-in limit switches that are easy to adjust, all you have to do is remove the sheath along the actuator and trim/re-solder the switch track to the desired length of travel. not excessively noisy when unloaded, we'll see how it fares in a couple days when i have time to get a bracket together.

Are you trying to direct pull on the cable?

Build a fulcrum and increase your Power 1-10x

i had that thought too, space is really tight unfortunately. i'm going to see how much it strains under a single cable load since direct is the most compact. that should help me gauge whether or not a little mechanical advantage is needed without blowing the thing outright.
