Default Anyone used neo magnet speaker wire terminals

Saw these in a video from SMD. I've seen this with cell phone chargers. Love the fact of fast and easy, I'm all about clean and fast. I can't 100% go by information from a video but they are showing no difference in resistance between the magnets and just measuring bare wire.

That's a neat idea.

I wonder how long until somebody will claim that adding magnets to the signal path will interfere with the sound quality.

Measure with mics, mark with chalk, cut with torch, grind to fit, sand to finish, paint to match.

$100+ shipping for a single sub terminal cup? Convenient, yes.... But $100?!!!

Not that I haven't spent $$ on something even more ridiculous

I can make those for around 3$ actually less because I have a bunch of little magnets already. I use them on my trains 🙄

Matco or somebody sells magnet DMM wires to quickly change ends. After a while, the magnets degrade and also pick up all kinds of debris.

What's the point of these? I really can't wrap my head around it.

Million other more cost effective options that don't involve magnets.

if you have a vehicle that you remove your box from often? i read they are polarity set. so there will be no incorrect adapting. they are nicer then banana clips. as there would be no wire arcing if unplugged.

Hmmm..... I've used the same square binding post terminal cup often found at Radio Shack for years....... the same one recycled from box to box. Never had a problem with leaks, breakage, etc. Heck, it's an old design so spring terminals out now make it even easier to connect/disconnect and for how much? $5 each?

Come on now.... we have to do better than that. I can think of much better ways to spend 100 bucks. And if you're having to remove a sub often, then you didn't think your design through very much to be honest.

I would just do an NL4 plug/jack combo or even an XT60 pigtail. Then you know it's entirely secure, you can unplug without any worries of shorting AND you're saving $90.

Alright, glad I ran across this here and see i'm not the only one that doesn't get the point. 100 bucks, for what? Because Lord knows we all have problems with soooo much bass it rips the cables out. Thank you Steve for putting an end to that burden on humanity. To each his own and hey if you can sell to an idiot and make a few bucks good on you for knowing your market. I've never had to move a box and wish there was was a quick detach solution. I have 10 seconds to spare unscrewing the posts.
