Default Alpine INA-W910 Problem

Hello to everyone. I just installed this HU in my F150. I also installed the TR7Everything seems to be working ok, but there is this annoying little thing, when the ipod is hooked up everytime the artist, album, song info scroll resets the screen goes blank for a split second. I also notice this during DVD playback. It seems more random during DVD playback. Has anyone experienced this or have a suggestion as to why this happens ?

I too have connected the PAC-TR7 and use Ipod etc, never experienced such a thing. Are you running a reverse cam too?

Yes I do have a reverse cam hooked up. Maybe I will turn off the cam through the settings page and see if it does it again.

Just went to lunch and it did a couple times when I touched the brake, but not every time. Very odd

I am sure you must have done it already but, you might want to re check the tr7's connections... or reprogram it perhaps? It is programmed for alpine's handbrake bypass by default.

You know, when i wired in the camera I spliced into the red & black wires on the TR7. I wonder if that is where I messed up.

I dont remember splicing into tr7 when i installed my reverse camera.... There is a separate bunch of wires where the came is connected if i remember correctly... I will check though.

I didnt see any seperate wires for the camera to connect too. The camera needed a 12v & a ground so I just used the TR7. I think Im going to change it and see what happens

Ok, I reconnected the tr7 and the camera leads. Drove home and it did it again. Once again it only does it when I apply the brake pedal, but not eveytime. It probably does it 1 out of 6 times I hit the brakes. I will turn off the camera for tomorrow and try it.

Ok so today I have driven the truck around town a good bit. Before I left the house I got into the system settings and turned off the input for the camera. I have not seen the screen flicker at all and everytime I hit the brake pedal I look at the screen. SO maybe it is camera related, But Why ?

Try wiring in a relay to the reverse input wire of the INA-W910. Have the reverse signal wire of your Ford turn on the relay and 12v+ go to your Orange/White wire of your INA-W910. I've seen this happen before.

85 from Reverse 12v+ , 86 to ground , 30 to constant 12v+ , 87 to Orange/ White of INA-W910. Relay will be triggered by reverse signal, and 12v+ will then go to your INA-W910.

Well I wired in the relay, and during the short trip home, everything seemed to be ok. Im not going to jump up and down just yet but after tomorrow I should know if the relay fixes it.

Well, It looks like the relay did the trick. Never did it once today. I appreciate all the info given for my issue.

Thanks
