JL Audio C3 or something better

My friend of mine is looking into the JL Audio C3 lineup but she would like to know if she is making the right decision by going into buying them since JL has them on sale.

She can get them for $399 but she would like to know if there is anything better for that price. She can get the Hertz Hi Energy 165 for $400 but she is in love with the silk dome tweeters like me. If there is anything better than either one or both please do share.

The C5's can be had for $300 at SE. With 1yr SE warranty.

Maybe one of the DLS around $400. Or HAT Unity around $350.

I got mine Pricematched at Al & Ed's for well under that. Definitely tell her to try there if she seriously wants them. Plus, full warranty as they are an authorized dealer

C3 is a rockin speaker..
