I was wondering if anyone has got their hands on any of the new subs released at CES?
I am considering the 2 SE Pro 12's to run off my ZPA 0.5.
Just went from Rockford 2.5 inch coil D4 12's tow the SEX D4 12's. It's a pair with each in it's own 1.1cft enclosure after displacement (1 box w/ a divider).
Much lower freq resp, not as snappy but they only have an hour on them. They are running off of a T1000bdcp at 1 ohm. I had a problem with heat and the 2.5 inch coils, these seem to get as hot but don't fade as much. I would say these would be a more SQ sub than the RF's (each in thier respective proper enclosures). It's in the trunk of my daughter's car and she likes dubstep/skrillex/bassnectar. I used the focal discs to tune it for SQ but those settings go out the window when the kids want to shake the sheetmetal.
Audiosavings had a pretty good deal on the pair, we'll see (or hear) how they hold up over the next couple weeks. Enclosure is key on these, they have alot of Xmax.
