Not sure if this is the correct forum to talk about this, but here goes:
What are your favorite HQ songs to listen to on your system???
I am always on the search for new music from literally any genre to listen to on my system. I'm also always looking for albums that don't sound like crap on my Dyn's. Funny how the more you spend on your equipment, the worse a lot of the music you hear on the radio sounds...
Before we go any further, let me say I already know about the IASCA, Focal, Klipsch, Audison, etc... test and tune albums. While they are all great to tune your system to, these are not what I'm looking for. Post some songs you think sound exceptional on your system. No matter how obscure or abstract they may be, I want to know.
Here's a quick list from me:
1. Bjork "Hyperballad", (Incredible sound and vocals on most of her songs IMO!)
2. Deftones "Digital Bath"
3. Pink Floyd "Dark side of the Moon album" (Is this a cliche?)
4. The O-Zone percussion group "Jazz Variant"
5. Anna Maria Jopek - I've been listening to a mix I got from a friend, not sure of song titles because they're all in a different language, but her voice is amazing!
6. Average White Band "Pick up the Pieces" (Who doesn't like this one?)
7. Ted Nugent "Stranglehold" (YAAA!!!)
8. Portishead "Roseland New York" (1998) Great Album!
9. Herbie Hancock "Don't Explain" feat. Damien Rice and Lisa Hannigan (This is off the Possibilities album which has great production, and most of the songs are well done)
10. Ana Caram "Leva me pra Lua" (fly me to the moon) I think a lot of yall have heard this one.
I just realized this list could go on and on for me, so I'll stop there. I can't wait to see what people come up with. I wonder who's gonna be the 1st person to say Michael Jackson "Thriller". It seems to be a lot of the older guys favorite. I'm not hating!
