Adding an MS-8 processor to my setup and trying to plan the install.
I'm running about 800W off two JL amps. I have a 4 ga cable coming to a fused distribution block which then separates to two 8 ga cables.
Where's the best place to tap the 12 ga that the MS-8 needs? I was initially thinking of a new distribution block, but the ones I've seen have only 4 ga or 8 ga outputs.
Where do you guys normally tap power for accessories like processors, EQs, etc.?

Thanks.
I'm using a small distribution block, 14ga/10ga outputs and 1x4ga input. If I can avoid it, I'm not tapping power from pre-existing power cables and/or stock fuse holders. I like my power cables to be connected directly to the battery with an aftermarket fuseholder in between. I always ground headunits, amps, dsps etc, at the same place to avoid noise issues. I'd ground that ms8 directly to chassis, preferably at the same place as your headunit and amps.

Thanks. I'm thinking I'm just going to run 8 ga to the MS-8. It's overkill since i'm not using the internal amp, but if I get a three-way distribution block, I can send 8 ga to both of the amps and the MS-8. I'll ground all three at the same place.
