I can't think of any scenario when u wouldn't benefit from deadening.

I can't just say yes in the trunk. I didn't have to use any in mine. My only problem areas where not accessible with deadener.
It really depends on the car. If you are getting a lot of vibrations and you can get to the panel that's the problem then deadener can help it

I have the stealthbox and that thing pounds! Only problem is I got my doors deadened but when I turn the bass up more than half, I can hear some dingling on my rooftop and trunk. Will sound deadening help that?

Trunk, absolutely. The roof you would have to remove the trim and apply there. Would also help with heat if applied to the whole roof.

Go play it and push on the trunk. Find out where it's coming from
Pretty simple solution. If it's rattling from an outer panel and you can only deaden the innor panel, no it won't help
