How did you find that? I've searched everywhere on the site to try to find my way to it, and I can't. I even searched TC Sounds and all that comes up is the Audiopulse stuff.

I think khail knows an inside secret or something for finding these things.

It's on the back page of the new PE flyer, which I just looked at in an e-mail I got from them.

I tried searching for other TC stuff too, but just got the AudioPulse listings as well.

Hmmm...

I just bought the Ed 12 on special... BUT

I wonder how this would sound in my 1.25 cuft sealed box compared to the ED. The TC sounds sub has the preferred VC config, with the edge on the Audio pulse as far as QTS and xmax goes for my app. Should I get it?

Audiopulse Epic EPD212

Fs: 21 Hz
SPL: 89.3 dB 2.83 V/1m
Vas: 4.66 cu. ft.
Qms: 4.25
Qes: 0.41
Qts: 0.38
Xmax: 22 mm

Ed 13Ov.2 D4
Qts: .28
Qes: .30
Qms: 3.3
Fs: 21 Hz
Re: 8.3
Vas: 6.21ft
Mms: 195 g

SPL: 89.1 dB
Sd: 545 cm^2

Yep, same exact sub with a different cone. I wonder how long PE is going to try to keep those prices so high.

How does the TC Sounds 12" sub compare to the IDQ 12" sub?

Just quickly looking at them on paper I would say they're similar but the IDQv.3 should be able to play well in a slightly smaller box at the expense of slightly less output and extension. Compared to the old IDQ (v2) the TC sounds sub is just an all out meaner sub from what I can tell. But until I can audition them, it's just hearsay.

That looks like a TC9, not a TC2 IMO. Has more excursion. Looks to be a great deal .. cheap RL-p.

Looks like ~28 to ship to Cali. So, ~$160 shipped. Not bad. The guys who drove down to TC during the garage sale probably got a much better deal.

You would be correct, I'm pretty sure TC only used the 12 spoke baskets on the tc2+ drivers, and it says identical to the epic 12" which is the tc2+ line.

@ OgreDave the newer tc9's (ie. what they would have been built with) have that slanted back plate on them.

as far as the person who asked about the comparo to the ED12, i would think that the ED would be a better price/performance option.

I have the ED, and i had an RLP, which was a tc-9 and kind of an upgrade from the tc2+. Anyway, either way you should have a nice sub.

I can go home and take pics of my 12 spoke TC9 that looks just like it, but a silver basket .. But, it should be a good deal either way.
