Hey what's up. A couple of things happened to my system. I added a TC 10" vmp passive to my TC oem10, still in .65 cu.ft. Sounds great. I have also replaced my Dayton 7's with SEAS 7's and my tweets are now Tang Band ceramic domes which all together sounds awesome. This is by far the best SQ system I have ever been owner of. Check out my latest build log posts for pics. Hows your system coming? What is it like to have your mids and tweets in the dash. I would really like to hear that someday. It has to be cool! Have a good one.
Hey Kyle
Good to hear from you -- Hope your other half is better . The sound of the Daytons is clean , just a little bright but eqing down helps out tremendously . There is no replacement for woofer displacement !!!!! That Toby 12 will rock . I should getting around 700 watts to it --- lOLOLOL only rated to 150 watts ---
What's up! Thanks for thoughts and prayers for my wife. She is doing a lot better now. Had fluid around heart,(dang). Dash looks great and would like to hear what you think about those Dayton tweets. I love my Dayton mids and bet their tweets don't disappoint. I bought my Blaupunkt tweets for $35 new and am using them to get by. They really don't sound bad at all and for that $$,could't say no. I am ready to step up in the high freq. range and get some better SQ tweets. I have had a ton of good tweets in the past, so I think I know what i am aiming for.Look forward to hearing from you and prayers and blessings to the Leno crew. Kyle
Hey I myself did not attend the Browniemagig. Wife was in hospital for a week and now back at home.Doing fine now.I'm a Commercial/residential painter. Had a "little" auto experience, and have a lot of family that does autobody. Cool job. Anything with paint and auto's gets me.Hope you rescue your ride soon, and get to jam that bad boy. Later
There is a Texas Diyma meet coming up Apr. 24 in Arlington, check out the Brownieque log in 12 volt events. My brother(Metanium) attended the last one and had a great time talking to fellow Diy'ers and professional competitors. This will be my first one , getting amped up for it(definate pun intended) about 25 signed up to attend, should be really cool!!
I am going with the Toby 8 " 's noone else uses them that I know of thats still competing .. I became addicted to car audio @ about that same age. I can still remember sitting in the old Ford LTD jamming to Genesis ABACAB - while mom was in the grocery store -- LOLOL
I don't compete, but have been addicted to car audio since I was 12,I'm 32 now and still can't give it up. Just bought new HU with built-in x-over,time alignment,USB, really cool features. Check out my build (F-150 build),very simple install and very happy where I'm at with it. Are you going ahead with the Toby 8's or using the peerless?
