Intelligence failure followed by Cover Your Ass stuff? Yeah, that I can see (not saying its true, but definitely withing the realm of possibility).
But the other? Worldwide conspiracy, with select people being warned, secret nano thermite, pre-arranged script and time table, the news organizations/building owners/opposition govt. officials all being in on it?
How long did it take for the Gulf of Tonkin conspiracy to finally resolve itself, and that we could then learn we were duped into war?
I would guess it will take that long to find out the truth of 9/11.
Not everybody has to be in on it Thor. That's the thing. It doesn't have to be a "secret to everybody." It only needs to compartmentalized which everything pretty much is anyway, in gov't and also in news. News gets directed from higher up, so station managers may need to be in the know, but only in the know for so much. They don't need to know that it was an inside job. All they need to know is WATCH THIS, and here's the script to follow as it goes.
When my wife worked for Fox years ago, she said those types of scripts came in all the time. Do this, cut to this, don't let this person who's being interviewed talk about these points, etc. The people following these directions do it because they are told to. If they don't, they will be replaced with another anchor, or news agent. It is just that simple. At Fox (I believe it was 5), there is what my wife felt was a major issue of superiority in the place. Grips, and other behind the scene people were talked down to all the time, and if they enquired about the story itself they were literally yelled at behind closed doors and told it isn't their business, etc. There was an air of "just do what you're told", serious indoctrination of unnecessary "blinders" to be added to everyone working there. And this is just the damn local news, it was crazy. I don't know if it was czar directing it all that wanted it this way, or if this all came down from above like Rupert M. But it was toxic to her, she'd come home crying in frustration about how it all went down around her. Example, she'd be doing sound work, and when an interviewee was on stage, and not there to support the views of the higher ups, she would be required to adjust the sound to make them sound less important. Like remove the mid-output to make them sound tinny and weak. Subtle! Also while on color-keying, she was required to once tweak a chroma-key (as she called it) so the opposing person was awkwardly outlined against the greenscreen background image they were working with. These subtle, subliminal things reduce the believability of the other person. When she was doing cuts (this was where she quit), a select phrase was cut from a comment in post production that would have mattered in a discussion, and this was a simple discussion about some local thing. This didn't happen when she worked for PBS chan 10 I should mention. They purposely kept things as open as possible there. All this b.s. was when she was working for Fox.
Actually before she told me these things I had no idea that this stuff even existed in the world, I was actually asleep at the time and a few months after she quit I began to wake up.

Anyway, it will be difficult to proceed in a conversation if we can't get to an agreement that the buildings were demolished using something other than planes. *edited to add clarity* Most likely planes hit 1 & 2, but that's not what took them down, that's what I meant. Certainly no plane hit the other ones.
I do know that with the visual display of all the buildings that fell, they looked exactly like all the implosion works I've seen personally, and of course on TV. I've also seen "Lucky" Silverstein use the exact words that I've heard a controlled demolition worker use. Further I know that Lucky also tried to double his compensation which should open at least some eyes to a possible fraud situation (but hey, he's rich so he get's away with it, right?)
I'm so, so glad that I know in my heart, these people will soon be out of the picture, and get what is coming to them. Just watch, they will scatter like rats when the game is done. They already are (citing the resignations.)

They are all joined. You ever watch any of the main national news media cover a story?
they say nearly word for word the same talking points . whatever catch frase is given out by the washington people they use.
its quite comical when you get a sound bite from all the different liberal stations all repeating it like parrots.
especially when they have some special label to throw around.

So I have watched a few documentaries lately about 9/11 by accident on the first one then I became more curios as I never really put much attention on it after it happened.
Its very tough for me to imagine it happened as I was informed looking at it ten years removed. So then I thought I bet this has been hashed out on DIYMA, yep.
