This is the same thing as what happens in places like China and North Korea not the USA.

If you dont think they will do it then you are blind to how our government has turned into a monster.

We send our troops to other countries for the exact same excuse of treatment in other countries.

Yet our own government is trying to pass laws to prepare to do what?

Firstly, throughout the manual there are scores of references to how the U.S. Army would work together with the DHS, ICE and FEMA (page 24) to implement the policies “within U.S. territory” as part of “civil support operations” in the aftermath of “man-made disasters, accidents, terrorist attacks and incidents in the U.S. and its territories.” (page 38).

At what point are you willing to say that gub has overstepped its authority ? It's purpose ?

If you watched "brave heart" then you recall the king mandating that all new wives first be screwed by the king or whomever within the system and then the new husband could have his new wife. The reason she was killed because she refused.

It's a contingency plan. Many govt's have them for pretty much any scenario imaginable.

Let's say a large group of armed dissidents, like in the tens of thousands, decides to overthrow the govt and instate communism/nazism/purple spaghetti monster worship. Maybe they even infiltrate some military units and get access to some serious hardware.

Should the govt use the military to stop them? I sure as hell hope so. What do you do with tens of thousands of people and probably even more sympathizers? They're citizens so you can't deport em. You respect the rule of law so you can't kill em. Trying them all in court and punishing them that way would clog the legal system for years.

You do what pretty much every country does after a civil conflict, decide level of complicity, try the worst offenders in court/tribunals, hold and reeducate the bulk with the aim of releasing them, and cut the truly peripheral players loose asap.
