man charged with police brutality after trooper breaks his hand on suspects head.
if I was driving and doing nothing wrong I might have done the same thing. suspect didnt do anything so he didnt pull over. I have been tailed very closely for no reason long enough to get irritated waiting for them to go around.
I guess he should have pulled over but that didnt mean they should have damn near kill him. especially when he did not break any law.
I will just tell what happened. the video is boring and almost 30 minutes.
Guy was driving home. trooper pulled behind and turned on lights. guy didnt pull over cause he broke no laws. they forced him over and beat him. then took him to hospital and beat him some more. then took him to jail. beat him even worse and then took him back to hospital. 6 months later he went to trial where he was found NOT GUILTY on 20 of 24 charges. He is still in jail and refused parole at this time. For what I dont know.
The actual reason he was pulled over was because a accident that he was not even involved in.
Mistaken identity.
guy probably has permanent damage and its beleived he is being held in jail until statute of limitations expires on him being able to sue.

I'm the L-A-W , stop or die !
This video documentary includes actual police dash-cam video and audio of a horrific state police beating of an unarmed, non-combative citizen.
This case involves a New York State resident operating his car just across the border from his New York home in Pennsylvania. His name is Robert Leone.
OUCH !
Other than not stopping when directed, this incident involved no serious traffic violations & was simply the low speed following of a car that would not pull over.

I have seen that happen a few times. my mom actually wouldnt stop once but we were on major Dallas freeway at the time.
Regardless. the guy was going 5 MPH and initially thought the cop was going to go around him. I can understand that.
But seriously, Once they stopped him they had to nearly kill him? REALLY?!
Its as simple as stopping him and maybe warning or citing him for not pulling over.
THEY WERE TRYING TO STOP HIM UNDER THE PRETENSE HE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHICH HE WAS NOT.
When they stopped him they would have figured it out within 10 minutes and let him go.
But because they were all pumped up with rage and adrenalin they beat the man down then beat him down 2 more times and nearly killed him.

Luke, did you even bother to look at the actual case?
If it had been your son nearly beat to death over a mistaken identity you would be suing the crap out of someone.
I find it hard to believe you would actually think this case was justified, pull over or not.
Suppose they just emptied about 50 rounds into the man. then claimed he did something then it was found out he didnt.
Would it be ok still even though he was dead?
the devils in the details my man and your not even looking at them.
There is no justification to that treatment of anyone guilty or not.

once upon a time a cop had to have a reasonable suspicion to pull you over. Personally I pull over but I can understand how if you know 100% you have done nothing that you might not pull over.
these cops were way out of control. they almost killed the man and he didnt do anything wrong. if they were better at their job at realizing he was not the man they were looking for then none of the beating would have to occur.

That makes me sick to my stomach. I don't hate all cops bc some are decent and follow the law but this case clearly shows a corrupt department and those cops need to be punished for their crimes.

Irrelevant, it was a good faith stop which seems to not be contested by anyone.

Probably, had he stopped.

And here's where it goes wrong. I think it's the same cop that is the aggressor throughout and he's pissed.

If you even would consider not pulling over you're dumber than a sack of hammers. Good cops or bad cops you WILL NOT WIN. Pull over, do exactly as directed, keep your mouth shut, and if you're mistreated get a lawyer, and go to the proper authorities.

Simple reasoning says if someone refuses to stop for police that there must be a reason. People with functioning brains don't say "I didn't do anything, so I'm not stopping." Maybe someone in the same model car just kidnapped a kid, who the hell knows. PULL OVER. We shouldn't even need to talk about something so damned fundamental.
But, I can't defend anything that happened after the stop. I wouldn't even try.
I found a uncited claim that Leone however was quite high on Adderal:
"When Leone left his home on March 8, 2010, he had a nearly full bottle of the medicine, his parents said. When he was apprehended at the end of the chase about five hours later, he only had six pills left.
A lab test conducted following his arrest showed his blood contained 0.77 milligrams of amphetamines per liter -- far exceeding the accepted therapeutic level of 0.04 milligrams per liter."
