Note: I don't care much about speed when on a sled(never took the RX over 80), sure you can do 120-160, BUT WHY.... to die faster... not for me...
I want a nice trail sled that I can jump and whatnot...
that RX was soooooo smooth... My back thanked me...

Valid point. My friend has a big-ol Polaris quad and I have a Kaw 360, I eat his ass alive in the woods because mine is smaller, more nimble and a bit quicker in the turns. Now in the straights he eats me up but if you are on quads and worried about straights you are doing it all wrong
Pulling wise they are about the same since I can lock my front end down
Mine is also easier to handle. I'll run his ass so hard sometimes he can barely bring a beer to his lips when it's all over. Sometimes bigger is NOT better
It's black with I believe red accents. It's a couple years old now. I'm told a factory turbo from a DSM will bolt right up to it for cheap power, but my Dad is like you and doesn't need the speed. It's a very nice trail machine which is exactly why he bought it. I don't ever need to go over 70-80mph on the lake either, most of my riding is around 40-60mph on groomed trails. My 550 will get me by fine lol. I do like acceleration though.

You are a strange bird....

Illinois sounds exactly like South Dakota. Not really a surprise since they are pretty close. Sleds are a blast, attach a sled to the back and you found more fun again. haha Very nice sled btw!
Your picture came out grainy because the ISO was at 1000 which allows you to take pictures with less light at the expense of noise.
Hmmm.... that's odd, I don't seem to have the detailed properities copied to my thumb drive, but I "thought" I had it on auto, which usually gives me between 160 to 320 ISO on most pics... I can check on the puter at home, it has the exacts...
thanks, but even lower ISO pics come out like that..??

Yes, unless you stay under ISO400, with digicams you are likely to get some noise in the photos. As the ISO goes up, so does the noise. No free lunch.
Now, at the same time, if there is enough light to properly expose for that level, you won't see the noise (i.e. bright daylight).
Increasing the ISO, just as opening the aperature (F settings low) allows you to take pictures you normally wouldn't get, but at the expense of quality or sharpness. If you had the camera set to auto, it was probably trying its best to give you the best photos it could for the given conditions.
If you are using a windows box, save that image to the desktop, right click properties, Summary, and advanced. In there you can see all the settings in regard to how you took the picture. If you hit it with photoshop or something though, you will loose all of the EXIF info from it. Looks like a Sony Cybershot DSC-s700 was used. In the pic you posted above it, it shows the ISO was 160, hence the reason there was less noise. But your exposure was 1/8th of a second which let in enough light for it not to be noisy (and you didnt shake the camera which becomes an issue at such low exposure times.

Thanks, i'm still trying to get this stuff down... I can't control shutter speed at all, but I can the ISO...
it's all so confusing, i'm waiting for the "lightbulb" moment, when the rain goes away and I can see it all clearly...

So, Typical of Illinois a few days ago it was single digits, yesterday and today it's 65 degrees. Everything has melted and it's greezy and gooey out there. Took the quads out yesterday and it was impossible to tell the color of the quads or the color of the clothing we were wearing

Yeah, the weather is definitely whimsicle around here isn't it lol. Same weather here as you. As far as I'm concerned it's a nice change of pace from the 5° lows and 20° highs we had last week.

Damn we were having 5 degree highs! Not digging that.
Our home takes an advanced degree in thermodynamics to maintain temperature, these large swings drive us nuts!

Yeah, maybe my statement was a little inaccurate. Mid-low teens during most of the day, definitely cold as shit in the morning/at night! 5° highs sucks though, but at that point it's pretty much all the same to me lol.
